[Text extracted from ms diagram reproduced above:]

Avoiding

(Non-stop) line

Main line:

Lefter [sic]

Newer

Leaves Later

Platform

Lines

Branch Line:

Righter [sic]

Older

Leaves Sooner

(coming up from underground....)

One clear implication is that I needn’t have stopped or chosen here at all – if I had taken the Avoiding Line. But when did I make that decision?

Had I taken the Avoiding Line, I should have been sent automatically (it seems) onto the Lefter [sic], Newer, Later Main Line; there is a strong implication (eg the walk up the Avoiding Line)** that I should have taken it.

But which course is that?

*[It is clear from the previous diagrams in this series of journal entries ([Redbook7:59-63][19900218:2257]{3 Dreams: of Railway Stations}[18th February 1990], &ff) that each single line on the diagram above and on all others after the first in [Redbook7:59-63][19900218:2257]{3 Dreams: of Railway Stations}[18th February 1990] represents a double-track railway.]
