*'Gods
of the New Age'** is a better, simpler, book than 'The Hidden Dangers
of the Rainbow'***. Taken together, they raise a host of questions
about what I am doing. Many of them may be turned round and asked of
the questioners,**** whose ultimate authority will, I suspect, turn
out to be, not the Bible, but the form in which they perceive Jesus
Christ within their minds. Others, I am afraid, arise from conscious
or unconscious 'smear' techniques, such as taking quotations out of
context, attributing the views of one Individual or Organisation to
another which has not acknowledged those views, and so forth.#
Others just arise from incorrect or illogical conclusions.
But
for me, the crucial question is: given that I am trying to draw a map
of #*reality, and accepting that no map can be absolutely accurate,
is +C†I~, the Christ? Or is he simply a sort of Krishna-figure
substituted by Hindu influence?#** The question, which arises out of
the doctrine of false Christs, is vital because while I can justify
drawing a map which includes #***Hindusm and Christianity (and as
they are in opposition, it seems, the authors of these books ought
logically to accept the map) – I have no possible justification for
excluding Christ while including a look-alike.
