Words are inadequate here:* misleading, in fact, even treacherous. I believe that as Man has a body and God is a Spirit, it is possible for Jesus to be both Man and Son of God, human and divine, at the same time. If the Son of God is (as xS suggests in [2]) an incarnation of God the Spirit in specifically human form; and if (which the authors** do not agree) we all have the Spirit of God within us;*** then the question of whether Jesus was divine or not – whether he was the Son of God, part of the Trinity, or 'just' a human teacher, which seems to divide the authors** from some New Agers – is meaningless: I mean that it seems impossible to discuss such a question in words which will mean the same to both sides.
