It
becomes clear that one of the factors in the decay of our society –
and one of the aspects I have to fight, at least on a personal level
– is creeping regulation: which is as much a tendency in the
centralised democracy as in the communist state, and as well as in
the organs of government is found in the institutions created by what
is laughingly known as private enterprise. It must be resisted
because it is directly inimical to enterprise, inspiration,
spontaneity and all those related manifestations without which no
society can adapt and develop sufficiently to survive.
