{Cycles of Democracy}[15th October 1990]

An interesting possible correlation in the 2048-year* {cycles} occurred to me immediately after I had recalled this dream** earlier this evening.

I believe it to be the case that village communities in contemporary primitive societies are run consensually rather than tyrannically – ie the headman tends to be chosen[,] ***|or at least accepted[,]|*** and acts as[,] a chairman rather than as a dictator. It may be a fair speculation that the emergence of city states, ie at around c2048bce, required (and evidences) [a] more monarchical organisation than any which might have worked for village communities.

What is not in doubt is that the relatively short-lived democratic/republican periods of the Greeks in Athens and of the Romans appeared in the G~ and R~ period (approximately) and **** disappeared again in the R~ to C period to 0ce.
