In
this instance* you would look for small circles [sic]
at the beginning, each being the first half of the next one. This is
reasonably alright so far as C and A~ are concerned (even better if
you could stagger them,** like the Greek and Roman cycles, but I’m
not sure how this works mathematically) but may be a problem for
G~/g~ and M~/m~ (not to mention the diagonals)

circle[(/cycle) rotational] direction could alternate?***
