Tammuz[’]
name Adon, ‘My Lord’,#** is so far as I know the only name
occurring in all 4 religious systems of our group:
Adon
in the Babylonian, Canaanite, etc;
Adonis
in Greek mythology;
Adon(ai)
for Yahweh in Judaism;
&
even Adonai for Jesus in some (19th
century?) Christian hymns.
(And
presumably the Canaanite El is related to Elohim and is the El who
became Allah of Islam.)
