I watched the Panorama programme,* without the strong feelings of identification one way or the other which I would once have had;** but I reflected sadly on [W]'s twenty years of National Insurance contributions (and my own much fewer!). What the issue is really about is the transfer of power, of which money may be regarded as an institutionalisation.***
