To hear a Conservative Government Minister – Lord Young on a Panorama [programme] preview, I think – apparently claiming that tax cuts free the human spirit,** is staggering. It is just my luck to be embarking on a course of poverty while everyone else is getting richer. But not everyone else, of course: that is precisely the point.
