According
to E[ncylopaedia] B[ritannica] IX.513, 2
Jokers are usually included in a set of playing cards (ref.* p32). These could be the 2 ‘Invisibles’ (G~ and M~), or the Fool
and the Magician, according to taste; or just the Fool twice.
Naturally, I prefer to see them as the two ‘Invisibles’. (The
duplication suits the symbols ח,
ח
of
י
ח ו ח ,
and π is of course happily appropriate for the two points that make
possible the Circle.)
