*This
does throw a new light on the onset of Schizophrenia in late teens /
early twenties: the turn at Crisis between VI and VII is particularly
sharp, or seems to be, without the benefit of the gradual approach,
at the other end of Knights, to the Transformation Point. The change
from education to employment can certainly feel particularly sharp,
and devastating in its implications for the Inner Life: mine did.
Bearing in mind Contra-rotational Resonance,** schizophrenia may be
the cry of the creative or inner-oriented Individual forced
exclusively to follow the Knights Outer Circle. (This might also be
relevant to the apparent periodic reluctance of graduates to “turn
round” and go into commerce, etc.)
Schizophrenia
as described on p.225*** therefore might be expected to be
particularly likely at the end of the Knights Circle, during or
approaching a mid-life Crisis (of the type I believe I experienced in [I, in Scotland]),**** but unsatisfactorily resolved. Other disease might be
expected here: I have been aware long before I reached this age how
many gradually fatal# diseases seem more likely to appear in the
mid-to-late-thirties than at any other age.#*
