*Re-reading
– it becomes clear that the thing has developed to such a point
that I can no longer even remember all its salient points at one
time. This throws the burden of consistency on the system itself (or
my unconscious mind – if it is mine, not just a mine), and reduces
Me – myself – to a mere writer, which is what I have wanted for
ages to be anyway: leaving me free to get on with my own mundane
life.... {(}I suspect, not
