So
for example* lying**, telling lies, is evil because it separates us
from God the Spirit and from the Spirit of God in our fellow Men, and
is evil to the extent that it does these things: I suggest that a
personal lie is more dangerous than an impersonal or institutional
lie, i.e. face to face is worse than nation to nation (e.g. in
wartime).
