{Circle Orientation}[25th November 1987]

But another* possibility (which may have been noted a long way back) would be that each Circle runs from and to the Cardinal Archetype associated with the Court Pack whose name that Circle bears: i.e. –

Kings
+CI~
Queens
G~
Knights
M~
Knaves
A~
**

so:

One might well ask: why from and to? Why not through? – the associated Archetype. I think the First Inner Circle, Kings, must start and end with +CI~; and all else follows from this. The Outer Circle fits the pattern of Star Cycles,*** and makes sense to someone who is A~ oriented****.

I have marked a possible route in red [in the diagram above]. Roughly speaking, each 'Circle' is (required to be?) an approximate three-quarter circle (or horseshoe) before it changes, and (possibly overlapping for a while) becomes the next Circle inwards. However, if you count overlaps as belonging to either Circle – A~ and +CI~ can be full Circles, M~ and G~ ¾ [Circles]. Or you can see a succession of moves inwards {on(?)} each (vertical) semi-circle....

From the diagram [above], it seems as though the Knights Circle 'overshoots' to become a ¾ Circle, and is (as it were) 'pulled back' to the Queen's starting position: this phase is perhaps the last ¼ of Knight's Circle, unless you count the overlap as beginning on the first pass: the situation is complicated and clearly involves the influence of +CI~.#

#There is an abiding impression that the Knights Circle is the most disadvantaged of the 4 (i.e. most vulnerable): being materially or spiritually influenced by both Knaves and Queens Circles. <871201>
