Sometimes the technical complexity* of the construction leads to a feeling of dryness (as one might expect: at Implementation, and cf. St. John of the Cross (?), the Dark Night of the Soul (?).** But sometimes, letting the complexity go, there follows a sense of the Angelic: a strong sense, a real sense. This is one of those times.

How does it differ from the Divine awareness of God itself? Inexplicably, but distinctly: although the Divine is in the Angelic as in the Human, it might help to say that the Angelic sense is more Human in scale.***


*I'll say! I can't even begin to follow the complexities now; much of it seems in retrospect unnecessary, although I suppose that working through it was part of the process of arriving at a point where it could be seen to be (perhaps) unnecessary. <930506>
