Another way of looking at it* is to assess the life-significance of particular events in relation to a whole life, and then fit them to the appropriate circles.

For example, if I see (as I do) my personal crisis of the last few years** as being a ‘Mid-life crisis’, despite the fact that many people seem to use the term to describe a problem of the (late?) 40s, then clearly, as I was in my middle thirties at the time, the life [referred to] was my 64-year Outward (or ‘Working’) Life, but the Crisis therefore was at the meeting-point of the 2 ½ circles*** of 32 years each, and all events connected with that crisis must be mapped primarily in that light: so you have to be able to identify a Crisis from its characteristic quality, not just by map-reading.

That* may give us a clue for the division of the first 2 x 32-year cycles, into (eg) Training or Learning, and Practice.

Learning can be subdivided into 2 x 16 year cycles of (say) Formal and Informal Learning; our current practices delay the change, of course, for some: perhaps Imposed and Self-motivated learning would be a better description, corresponding with the change in human nature at 16.**

The 2^nd 32-year (Practice) cycle can then also be sub-divided into two 16-year cycles, but these are more difficult to characterise: so much may depend on what happened in the 1^st 2 x 16-year cycles.

In theory, the Circle structure itself should help, but this can become a self-justifying and (surprise, surprise) circular process.***

Resolution of the personal life cycles is largely a matter of scaling,* which seems to mean:

(i) characterising the type or relevance of each period-length and

(ii) identifying the events which fit each type.

For example, assuming that the whole life-cycle is part of a 128 year period (invariably, in practice, ending Here** before completion), then the 1^st 64-year circle can be seen as a largely Outward circle*** and the 2^nd as largely Inward. (Not so long ago, of course – and for many peoples even now – the 64-year cycle was the whole-life-cycle, and everything else was presumably halved as well. There is scope for exploration of the implications of this.)

This characterises the 1^st 64 years as to do with (Outward) working life: Training for it, and Practice of it.

Delay is experienced in the clash of inner decision (or inner pressure) and outward actualities; eg schizophrenia among college students of c18-20, and in my case the agonising reassessment of and break with my parents (and their expectations?) of c1985-1988 (age[d] 34-37). 

This can be seen both/either as lag (discussed earlier),* and/or the increasing separation of inner and outer circles before one or another is triumphant.

The age of 64 is not, of course, the end of the life cycle but the end of that particular (perhaps normally outward?) life cycle, and the start of another, which most certainly should be inward: often those most outward before fail to make the turn successfully, perhaps not having developed the necessary inner* resources, and die.

So far as personal life-cycles* are concerned, my guess is that the impulses of the dynamic circles are precise on the period-doubling-multiple [sic] interval system; but that personal obstinacy and hesitancy delays and distorts their being put into effect.

Certainly in my own life the age of 16 marks (as I have remarked earlier)** a sudden change among my contemporaries (and, presumably, in myself, although I was there already) from child to young adult:*** in most, the onset of civilisation. And at 32, or within six months before it, in December 1982, I decided to give up employment and become self-employed in pursuit of my Spirit; the fact that this went wrong at first is (I hope) only a minor hiccup, soon corrected.****

I stress the last term* because a revolution or spin which is in some way incomplete – less than or greater than one, for example – does imply external space, requires it in fact, and creates the (or some of the) co-ordinates of that external space by the description of its own spin (ie on the analogy(?) of Polar-to-Cartesian co-ordinate conversion).

The incompleteness may be in (or into) an additional dimension – this possibility I expect would have to be a ‘given’, but the actuality once again** could be described self-referentially, I think, in terms of the individual alone and the existence (only) of the dimension into which it moved. *** Such a spin would be, in effect, not so much a non-unit spin as a spiral.****

As it happens, of course, when we examine the most fundamental levels of the Universe – as well as the most astronomical – what do we find, again and again? – Spin.#
