It is headed “Wanted: an unreasonable man” and is written by [...], described (in an ms-marked attribution) as “a Muslim philosopher who supports the traditional Islamic dogma that outlaws the ordaining of clergy, male or female”.]



As to [...]: it is probably unwise to invite a man to comment on institutions he despises in a medium he despises;* and the article shows much of contemporary Islam’s inability to see itself straight in relation to the rest of the World (a bit like the Church, actually, only more so). But there are some good thoughts in it.
