[Canon][XQ] has a great way of turning up with encouragement just when I need it: his feelings about the referee form* were similar to mine, and to [another referee’]s.

The life of a Parish Priest still strikes me generally as far more worthwhile and fulfilling than that of a country Solicitor, provided the Church is not reflected in its forms....
