Certainly one should not underestimate the revelatory powers on the edge of sleep:* seeming in my case to give rise to a certain kind of vision at the beginning of daytime sleep, and a certain kind of dream near the end of night-time sleep.

In fact this diagram, which has been used earlier** to describe the working day, does not tell the whole story here. Viewpoints are important: the descent to A represents oblivion from C, at least on the outer circle [sic], and when you are near C, outer A~ seems like a nightmare.
