Having
made* the point that sexuality is placed on one side for the moment,
I want to explore the ambiguity of nakedness. On the one hand,
innocence and intimacy; on the other hand, intimacy and sexual
intercourse. Sexual intercourse is (or should be) only one part of a
wide spectrum** of expressions of Love; and they tend to merge into
each other in the way that real life matters tend to, disconcertingly
for our compartmentalised moral sense. Verbal expressions of Love,
for example, merge into symbols, symbols merge into physical [sic],
and physical merges into sexual intercourse. It does not follow that
one thing leads to another.
