I
had never understood how cars worked: I had always felt that I could
[be able to] understand, but didn't. Now, with time to read and
explore and practise, in my own time and by my own inclination, I am
beginning to understand, and even to apply my understanding. Mind
you, having a workshop and an inspection pit for the first time,
helps!
