One might think that Faith was more useful than Hope down in Distraction; but Faith belongs with +M~ (and faithfulness) by his nature at least, I think. I know from experience that as you go down into distraction [sic], you lose the capacity for Faith: I don't know why; it seems that Faith is not blind, but does need a basis of certainty of some sort to underpin it in a way which does not seem possible in Distraction. It is, perhaps, a certain single-mindedness of purpose which Distraction attacks.
