Creativity: there is a scale of sorts, in occupations, but it depends in some cases on the individual's own purpose.

In Law, for example, it is quite possible for the purely creative man to operate (in theory at least – if he can stand the dead weight of other people's dryness) but it is quite impossible for him to succeed except in so far as he carries the others with him – that is, not very far. Even an academic lawyer is dependent on the general agreement of his colleagues, and a practitioner would soon go out of business if he regularly or fundamentally disagreed with the judges' received mental framework.

We may say that Law represents perhaps the furthest Man may travel from the Universal – except possibly in so far as it is rooted in spiritual concepts.
