forgot to record this morning that as I awoke, a part of my mind was
trying to turn the statement: 'He rules, he pools, he leaves.' into
'He rules, he pools, he divides.' it was, as it were, a nearer,
louder part of my mind – perhaps a more rational part. But the
recollection of the dream would not be turned: 'He rules, he pools,
he leaves.'
'He
pools': all I can think of in the context is the gathering together
of separate elements into one system, i.e. synthesis. <19871213>
