What is interesting* is the emphasis on the dishonesty of the Church. Although I remember having a conversation** with […], [XQ]’s daughter,*** in which I said (tactless fellow) that Ministers do not tell the truth to their congregations about the state of Christian theology, of which they themselves are well aware; [sic] I do not | think |**** that it would normally have occurred to me to make as much of the charge of dishonesty as I have in my sleeping or semi-sleeping, or ‘unconscious’, state.
