People
nowadays seem to make films (and write books) about ordinary people doing
extraordinary things.
I’d much
rather write books or make films about extraordinary people doing ordinary
things – in the sense at least that all people are extraordinary (but not just
in that sense), and admitting that market demand prefers un-ordinary things.
I’ve just
seen Death Line and Night Hair Child.
Death Line was fun because of the historical and railway background and
exciting because of the way it was; but some of the throat slitting was a
little overdone. Otherwise it deserves
little comment: you have to take things at their own level.
