I think the
WRs [headmaster of my previous school, and
his wife] may have resented that long letter I wrote to them in
December. It was a bit
patronising, but I was sincere. Sincerity
is not all!
They are
very well-meaning people and I am very fond of all of them, but with the best
intentions in the world they have conspired to make that school a hell on earth
for sensitive introverts. But I still
think it is one of the best prep schools.
