But* there are still problems. What about (eg) unsuccessful invasions and revolts? A possibility is to give 2 separate sets of values or dimensions, one for each cardinal axis on the circle – in effect, x & y (where Time would then be z – but we should have to present each separately against Time). Each axis would be centred on O (neutral) and could have simply a -1, 0 or +1 value corresponding (eg) to G~, O, M~ and A,~ O, C; or values greater than -1 & +1 could be allocated, although this could complicate matters.
