Columns – ‘Nation States’,*, grouped into Regions (difficult! and arbitrary).**

Rows – Years, ?grouped into appropriate periods (ie 64[-]year cycles, presumably).

For example (bearing in mind that new rows and columns can be inserted):

A

B

C

D

1

Year

World

Europe

Britain

2

512***

3

511

4

510

5

However, in order to identify (eg) G~ and M~ values (let alone C and A~) I might have to allot 3 columns to each ‘Nation State’. This would allow me only 40 N[ation] S[tates], instead of up to 120 – quite a significant reduction.

*(retrospectively)

**(eg I would tend to include in Europe also North Africa, Mid[dle] East, and Soviet Asia).
