Then again, I need to decide what symbols I need – presumably to be picked out by a selection programme and to have nearness to the appropriate degree (in C[ircles] A[nalysis &] S[ynthesis] precise cycles) calculated.

One approach would be simply to identify the appropriate degree of the event straight from the historical description of the event and compare this with the C[ircles] A[nalysis &] S[ynthesis] precise cycle degree.

But I prefer a 2-stage approach, on the whole, ie[:]

(1) Conversion of historical description to symbolic form[;]

(2) calculation of patterns (if any)[.]

On a spreadsheet, the vertical column will presumably be years, and the horizontal column ‘nation states’. Some ‘nation-states’, which of course change in many cases through history, may have to be (a) possibly amalgamated or divided from the start in the light of subsequent history

and (b) grouped regionally, which may involve fairly arbitrary decisions given that the groupings must remain the same from top to bottom of the spreadsheet (I presume).
