[Redbook8:153][19901224:1035]{The Trundholm Sun-Disk}[24th December 1990]

‘The two faces of the disk have different patterns of concentric circles, running spirals, loops and zig-zags; but one face also has a thin gold sheet pressed onto it so that it takes the pattern. Horse and disk were mounted on wheels for the purpose of enacting the movement of the Sun across the heavens in the cosmic drama of day and night, the whirling, spiralling patterns representing the Sun in splendor.’

I certainly wouldn’t argue with the claim that this is a sun-disk; but I find the pattern, which is after all not visible in or around the Sun, interesting as a possible expression of the age-old themes of the Unconscious.
Of course, in the first instance, anyone could say the same about my work.
