I was interested to watch Madonna’s concert (in Barcelona) on television* – a lady for whom, after seeing her interviewed recently, I have quite a lot of time:** many of her acts were highly reminiscent of 1920s *** and early 1930s Germany, which is just what you would expect.**** They are miles away from what I grew up with in the [nineteen-]sixties.#
