What is interesting is that the whole work* is prefaced by a poem of 8 stanzas – of which the Night of the Sense and the Night of the Spirit are concerned with only the first two. If you fit these from r~ round to c on the inner circle, there is a slight correlation with the first Qualities but a clearer one with several of the images of T[arot]XIV to T[arot]XXI (particularly T[arot]XVI and T[arot] XVIII with Stanzas III-V). However, this is not clear enough to be conclusive.
