My
intention to write Circle booklets (and, I suspect, my desire to
write fiction) foundered in the end on my recognition that they must
begin and end with Christ – and my inability, at present, to put
that into effect, for reasons which I strongly suspect are connected
with the chain of inspiration and event which is bringing me ever
deeper into the Church. All these things happen in their own good
time.*

the end, neither the booklets nor the Church involvement proceeded –
but the fiction, for whatever it was worth, eventually did.]
