{Gospel Circles (3) [continued (4)]}[9th September 1989]

[Redbook6:230][19890909:1148d]{Gospel Circles (3) [continued (4)]}[9th September 1989]

.1148
[continued]

If the analysis of Mark’s Gospel* is valid (& if it** is the most authentic), the meaning seems to be that Jesus, having used an inner circle for the initiation of his Disciples and his mission (and that of the Church), then quite deliberately switched to an outer circle development in order to bring about his own death. The second half is noticeably more negative in tone than the first half.

*[See last previous entry but 2, [Redbook6:229-230][19890909:1148]{Gospel Circles (3) (a) Mark}[9th September 1989]]

**[Mark’s Gospel, presumably, not the analysis]
