I
have deliberately (but silently) expressed the intention of returning
to memories of mathematical matters I learnt long ago and have
'forgotten'; and whether for this reason, or because of the greater
clarity of an uncluttered mind (Death of Self?), I have for the first
time in adult life actually begun to understand what these
mathematical matters are about, and how they interconnect.
