On the whole, rather than saying that each such point** exists on the outside surface of the notional sphere, I should prefer (after reflection) to deal with space and time as they appear to be and not in a notional or analogous way.

In this alternative model everything outside the Human hemisphere side of the Sphere would represent the Physical Universe(s), and would be connected…. ***

The link between the Inside and the Outside of the Sphere is intricate: they are interdependent. The Hemisphere of Man is clearly a part of the Physical Universe (from the point of view of the Spiritual Kingdom it is the essential Physical Universe, of which everything else is the Outer Shell). But it is also penetrated by, and in that sense a part of, the Spiritual Kingdom. The Outside is only required to explain the World of external phenomena, because once we have developed a co-ordination system for the (Inner Surface of the) Hemisphere of Man there is clearly no further room for the spatial co-ordinates used in physical space-time.

This** does not rule out the appearance of disembodied Spirits, such as Angels, Outside. However, it is more likely that the Individual encountering such a Spirit at his Inner location would project the image or vision resulting from this encounter into whatever Outer location he happened to be in.

Whether Angels could – or would need to – independently locate themselves Outside I do not know: I guess that they could but wouldn’t often need to. There certainly used to be traditions of specific physical locations haunted by evil spirits.

Our location Outside the Sphere dictates physical communication limitations, etc; but psychic communication has to do with our position on the inside of the Sphere. I do not necessarily mean extra-sensory perception: I mean the fact that ease of personal relationships between Individuals generally has*** far more to do with the types they are, especially in relation to each other, than with their physical co-location and temporal common**** history. However, the rules governing these relationships are not necessarily, or exclusively, based on inner surfce co-location; and in practice obviously for embodied spirits physical (ie Outside) communication is normally a pre-condition.

Alternative A

One can liken the Physical Universe ie Space-Time to the outside of the Hemisphere ** (or Sphere) so long as it is clearly understood that an Individual’s position on the Inner Surface is not related to his position on the Outer Surface.

(Alt[ernative] A cont[inued])
Actually, this is not such a bad idea: the ‘boundary (Hemisphere or) Sphere’ whose outside surface points are neither absolutely nor relatively linked positionally to its inside surface points, but nevertheless for Humans (and their equivalents) at least have a one-to-one correspondence. The Circles, that is the Boundary Plane dividing the two Inner Hemispheres, might have no equivalent outside the Sphere*** – as we can see; although the basic principles and forms of the Outer Circle may still be perceived at work. The outside of the Hemisphere or Sphere is equivalent to Time as wells as Space; Time and Space in the inside are independent of the Outside, and do not exist within the Spirit.

The Sphere* has no absolute distances: all distances are relative. Only Degrees are absolute, because the Circle shape (and thus the shape of the Sphere) is absolute. (In practice, neither the Circle nor the Sphere is necessarily regular: I don’t know how the inequalities of forces should be expressed.)

{(Aberration)}
**It will be appreciated that the geography of the Sphere is an Inner geography in a mental as well as a topological sense: it bears no relation, so far as I know, to the geography of Space or even Space-Time within the Physical Universe, despite the fact that it represents the Inner World of that Physical Universe.

Disembodied Spirits who reside or are based in the Spiritual Hemisphere* possibly have places of rest along the Circles or Spirals of the Inner surface of that Hemisphere. However, they do not (I think) move along these spirals towards the Apex: their role is not to evolve but willingly to serve the purposes of God, and any movement is therefore through the Inner Space of the Sphere for this purpose: including, if necessary, down through the Boundary Plane of the Circles to the Material Hemisphere.

*There may be disembodied Spirits residing and based in the Inner Space of the Material Hemisphere. I hope not.

Embodied Spirits (ie us) cannot pass into the Spiritual Kingdom before the First Death (of the Body): the Inner Circle is exactly on the boundary plane,* facing the Spiritual Kingdom. However, such Individuals may see all of the Space within the hemispheres under certain conditions (of themselves): from the Inner Circle, for example, and/or in dreams or visions; I suppose it is possible that they might ‘leave’ their bodies, but I am not sure here of the distinction between ‘sight’ and ‘flight’.

In theory, of course, any point within the sphere is visible from any other point within it; but the same sin etc. which stains the Soul and thus veils the Spirit, inhibits ‘sight’ across the inside of the Sphere.

*(ie not really a ‘band’ in this model)

However, the most important feature of this model* is the positioning of an Outer Spiral / Outer Circle Individual on the Inner Surface of the Material hemisphere [sic], according to the development of his Outer Principles towards their respective Inner Principles [sic]; and the ability of the Spirit to free an Individual from this Inner Surface to move within the Spiritual interior of the Material Hemisphere. The movement itself is not free to the Individual’s transient will: he is still co-ordinated by his relative Degrees; but the purity and completeness of his knowledge of the Spirit is, I guess, the co-ordinator [sic] within this free space. Completeness is radial distance (or ‘pull’): purity (ie lack of self-projection) is the Degree, from Degree 0 at +CI~, and is thus intimately linked with the Individual’s secular co-ordinate on the Inner Surface.

Only Angels or Free Spirits can move freely in this Inner Space, and their co-ordinates from moment to moment depend upon the Will of the Creator, the concentration of the Spirit.

Once on the Inner Circle, however, the orientation changes.* The Circle or Boundary Plane become horizontal with the Spirit still at the Centre but the Creator-Father far above,** at the apex of the Inner Spiral of Spirits.*** The Material Hemisphere is below this Plane – like Hell?

This re-orientation perhaps explains the ease with which Men in the Material Hemisphere re-orient [sic] the Outer Circle relative to their own Degree or position. It could also account for the feeling that beyond or behind the ups and downs of everyday existence, there is a slow climb continuing, although the eventual goal will once again**** be perceived according to the inclinations of the Individual.

I personally see the Spiritual Kingdom as aligned horizontally on the Creator-Father, ie with the Circles still vertical as I have always seen them# – perhaps this is force of habit.#* However, the vision of the [O] is the vertical orientation, ie Spiritual at top and Material underneath; it is nearly always seen vertically and the latest sightings reveal this in great detail: the ‘[O] of the Ascension’.#**

This re-orientation also makes much more sense of the requirement to leave +CI~ and set off again on the Inner Circle in what appeared to be a ‘downward’ direction but now isn’t.
