There are obviously links with invite [sic]* other or ** models, or adaptations. For example, the old Angelic Hierarchies correspond to positions on the Circle*** – this suggests that in the Deep Hemisphere (Spiritual Kingdom) there really is a spiral ‘staircase’ corresponding to the Inner Circle. This in turn suggests that in the Front Hemisphere (Physical Universe) there may be a similar spiral ‘staircase’ (or slide) corresponding to the Outer Circle.

But what I love about the model**** is is the implication of the intimate link of the two Hemispheres. If each is represented by the inside surface of its Hemisphere (not only physically, as some Theoretical Physicists [sic] suggest, but in respect of Individual position [sic] as well (or instead)) – then there is complete vision (for those who have eyes to see), but [there is] direct contact between the Hemispheres only at the Circle boundary (which seems to be a Circle for those who can cross it, a Disc for those who cannot); but the Spirit at the Centre is at the Centre of All.

*But the Number cards really come into their own here: as four long ‘arms’ on the front hemisphere curling back** from 10s just ‘in front of’ the Knaves position, curving ‘forwards’ (ie out of the paper plane) and inwards to meet in the 4 Aces round or at the ‘hub’ which is Man.***

In case it isn’t obvious already, I should point out that the Tarot Cards basically apply to the ‘Physical Universe’ Hemisphere and to its interface with the Spiritual Hemisphere.

What of the Tarots? Tarots VI-XIII and XIV-XXI are still appropriate to the Outer and Inner Circles respectively, in dynamic terms, and T.0 and T.1 still hold their key separating positions. The use of 2 Jokers* ‘between’ T.I and T.II still makes T.II – T.V** more appropriate,*** although perhaps a better fit to Alternative (2) than to Alternative (1).**** (Perhaps this observational/conceptual difficulty over the Alternatives (a) and (b)# at Pascal n=3 and n=4 is built into the system, like Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle.)

The 2-hemisphere model is, of course, in concept beautifully consistent with the Astrological Zodiac, or rather with the entire Night Sky, which appears to us as the inside of a vast sphere roughly divided by the Zodiac into 2 hemispheres.

In practice, the way in which the Ancients drew their Sky Map of the Northern Hemisphere may be more 2-dimensional.

I have tended to see the Northern Hemisphere Sky as leading in towards more and more ‘powerful’ figures and symbols as one moves towards the centre, although there is tremendous ambiguity in this (e.g. Draco?). (In this case, [the] Southern Cross might be at or near the Physical Universe hub, the Pole Star (currently Thuban) at or near the Spiritual Kingdom hub). But I should not count on this: Astrology may may not have conceived of this extra dimension, and may simply be writing a 2-dimensional map with its limitations. It might be more appropriate to see this as a representation of the Spiritual Journey through the Physical Universe, ie the Interface of the two – the [O] representation.

Relative Motion is important. I speak of the Circles moving 2 ways, but a moment’s thought makes it clear that the items or elements on the Circle do the moving: the Circle remains still, or in relative terms: its relative motion is (I believe) (Motion of Physical Universe – Motion of Spiritual Kingdom)/2.* I guess that it shares this ‘lack’ of motion only with the ‘hub’ or axle of the sphere, the line Creator – Spirit – Man** (the last of which, incidentally, may also represent the Man aspect of that Christ whose Divine aspect is at the 2-d ‘top’ of the Circle).

The translation of the relative motion of the 2 hemispheres into the motion of the elements*** within them requires more thought. It is worth bearing in mind that, so far as Individual Spirits are concerned, the nearer to the axis of the sphere, the slower they might go; and in the Spiritual Kingdom (the ‘deep’ hemisphere) any change of position might well be governed more from the Deep Centre (Creator-Father), whereas in the Physical Universe (our ‘front’ hemisphere) the Individual may have more independence to move relative to the Circle motion.

And the Circle elements of his own character may affect his motion.**** We tend to say that people go round in circles faster and faster, but in ever decreasing Circles: perhaps like the Skater pulling in his arms.

So far as physical rotation and other motion is [sic] concerned I could not begin to speak; but I wonder how far the dependence of motion on rotation is found in Nature?

Does the Spiritual Kingdom* really exist? That’s not for me to say: I wouldn’t know; my job is simply to tell it as I see it from time to time. If I were to commit myself to its reality, I should run the risk of committing myself to my own errors** (of interpretation, or of any other kind). But I do try to question things which feel unsatisfactory.

This model* also offers an explanation of the [O]. In one sense, it is a representation in a 2-dimensional** form of the way Creation is constructed; but in another, when it appears it is the boundary-plane that both divides and links the Spiritual Kingdom and the Physical Universe, focussed at a particular location (or locations) in the Physical Universe. One might imagine it as the light cast by the beams of torches, appearing suddenly on particular surfaces, drifting purposefully through the Physical Universe, and disappearing again. In certain people, real Saints, the boundary-plane is generally present: hence*** they are depicted wearing a Halo.****

Naturally, the [O] is also the Tunnel of Death, as it links the 2 Realms: #hence its appearance inside as a Cone passing up to (and through?) the Spiritual Kingdom#* and an apex or focus at the Creator God, or Father.
