Spherical Orientation [continued (8)]}[18th August 1988]

The nature of Evil as ‘a degree of Separation from God’ */ ‘extreme Spiritual Separation’ is perhaps explained in Sphere terms as a potential just ‘behind’ the A~ degree of the(Inner) Circle** (ie in the Spiritual Kingdom) which is actualised in front of the A~ degree of the (Outer) Circle. On the other hand, the point furthest from the Spirit and the Father-Creator and the Son is a point half-way along the quarter-arc between N (Natural Man) and A~. Spiritual Separation may extend into the Physical Universe.

I am certain that being balanced does not require indulgence in evil [sic], because Distraction is only actualised as Evil by the actions of Men specialising in that Degree (for the particular moment or action). I speculate that the Spiritual Kingdom in some sense extends into the World of Men, the Mental Zone which in a sense*** occupies both hemispheres; the Spirit itself, of course, informs the whole Sphere.

My guess is that whereas knowledge of the Spirit would accelerate an Individual’s progress towards the Outer Circle,**** it would be a necessary condition for transformation onto the Inner Circle.

*(per [2], xS) (not checked)
[xS in [2]:
‘“What is the nature of Evil?”
Evil is a degree of separation from God.” said [xS]’
&
‘“...a Spiritual Separation from the One, through something which Men do not easily recognise, but which in its extreme manifestation they call – Evil.”’
&
‘“the extreme Spiritual Separation known as Evil”’
&
‘“the extreme Spiritual Separation from God that we call Evil”’
