<(Diagram 2* is the critical model.**)>*

The speculation of this model** is that the Natural Man (‘Adam’) is a near-perfect integration of outer principles brought about by the Separation by the Creator from the Spirit. This is in no sense an ideal towards which we should be trying to return: the same basic Outer Circle Principles can be seen at work in the changes and movements of the lowest life-forms.

Man[,] in the course of his evolution, complicates (ie differentiates and specialises) these Outer Circle Principles – possibly each under the influence of the corresponding Inner Circle principle [sic]. This involves, of course, the Biblical knowledge of Good and Evil: in the undifferentiating [sic] original state, man as an animal would have no conception of this.*** It does give Man the choice of specialising, eg towards good or evil. The motivating force in this gradual movement is, I suspect, the ‘pull’ of the Spirit at the centre via the Inner Circle qualities it informs. However, generally speaking one cannot ‘see’ (I guess) ‘through’ the Material Hemisphere from a position on its surface.

The movement of Man (and of a man) is, or should be, gradually around the inner [sic] surface of this hemisphere towards the vertical plane, which is the boundary plane of the two hemispheres (and the two circles). The exact position on the inside of this sphere **** is a function of the position, ie development, of different Outer Principles (towards the corresponding Inner Principles [sic]). This will tend to happen in an Outer Circle direction, ie by a series of widening spirals (which despite widening lead in the correct direction).
