Is the [Pascal’s] Triangle* cumulative downwards? – i.e. does each level include the previous level in itself, or as (a) separate level(s)? In this context, it depends how you look at it. If you look only at your level, only the items of that level exist. But if you see the triangle (or [the] ‘cone’)** as a whole, the higher levels exist concurrently with your own.
