Please
remember that I very rarely look through what I have written, after writing it;
and when I look back over the work of a week before and see an ambiguity, I
dare not change it.
This also
explains numerous spelling mistakes -- though I do change them when I see them,
which is not very often. I don't really
spell ‘write’ ‘right’, it's just that when I'm writing what I'm thinking I let
the words look after themselves on paper -- which they do (I must assume)
according to their sound in the mind’s ear.
