{Easter Cards}[2nd December 1987]

[continued]

At the approximate location of Easter on the Circles' Zodiac scale – i.e. around Pisces – the Tarots may be applied to the Easter narrative. On the Outer Circle, TXI Fortitude shows a lion – in this context (only), the Lion of Judah? – overcome; TXII, the Hanged Man, shows exactly that; and TXIII is Death. After the Transformation Point, on the Inner Circle TXIV is Temperance, the lady (or Angel) transferring fluid between vessels; TXV is the Devil, with two captives presumably awaiting release; and TXVI is the Tower, struck by lightning.

It is possible to read in this the crucifixion (TXI to TXIII), the (Transformation? and) the Descent into Hell (TXIV to TXV), and the Resurrection (TXVI).

However, I have already remarked that the system is so complex that resonances* may occur anywhere: the question is not: How is it done? – but: What does it mean to me? (per [0]).

*[With the actual World, presumably, not (in this context) within the Circle system.]
