should be heavily censored, to prevent it increasing the expectations of the
people beyond their means. The damage to
economic growth will have to be borne.
Advertising which tells the consumer where to get something he already
wants is okay; advertising which awakens in him a need he did not know he had,
is not.
Since
commercial advertising is purely for profit, the arguments against censorship
need not apply.
Self-censorship
should be encouraged, at least at first.
