Resonance
is immensely complicated. Basically, it is the influence of Circle
Qualities (or Principles) on other Circle Qualities (or Principles)
(I think the two words describe the same thing here*). Clearly
Contra-rotation provides a dynamic example of this; so, presumably,
does Gearing (even Interaction). But within a particular static pair
of Circles there are Resonances which may be described as follows:**
*BUT
cf. III.'Belief & Knowledge'
[[Redbook3:118-131][19870405:1057](BELIEF
AND KNOWLEDGE{1})[5th April 1987]ff
&
[Redbook3:184-193][19870414:1003](BELIEF AND KNOWLEDGE (2))[14th
April 1987]ff,
which
seem to imply a specific meaning for Qualities (or at least Quality)
which is not synonymous with Principles;
&:]
but
Innocence at Crisis (above) [[Redbook4:57][19870817:1950]{Points
from Annotation[: (1) Innocence and Evil]}[17th
August 1987], presumably,
&
with it [Redbook4:59][19870820:1800]{Innocence and Truth}[20th
August 1987].
There
is a possible inference that the term 'Principles' is applied more
appropriately to the Outer Circle,
and
the term 'Qualities' more appropriately to the Inner Circle,
although
in practice both terms seem to have been applied at different times
to both Circles
&
to aspects, manifestations or expressions of them other than (&
including)
Inner (& Outer) Principles:
see
[Redbook4:100][19871005:0940e]{Vices,
Virtues, Principles and Gifts}[5th
October 1987];
this
is probably the preferable interpretation of Qualities as against
Principles,
i.e.
that Principles (which occur at cardinal and diagonal points on both
Outer & Inner Circles) are a subset of Qualities.]

next four entries, ff.]
