(2) Gearing

(i) Circles do seem to turn in relationship to each other, for example within the life of one person. The common location point seems to be at +C (or Crisis), where cycles end and begin.* However, there is considerable flexibility or “stretching” built into the system – not least by our own inclinations to resist. Perhaps a better visualisation would be of a system of stretchy, slightly slippery driving bands for gears**, instead of gear wheels with cogs, despite the basic Circles symbolism.
