It has
occurred to few people that if present trends continue, present food surplus
producing countries will have no surplus to send to Britain. If we have not by that time reduced our
population to make self-support possible, we shall have to reduce our consumption. We may (?) thus destroy over a generation of
childhood malnutrition the inheritance of centuries.
