Of course, the **Circle of Analysis of the Hertzsprung-Russell diagram is based on colour progression – a matter of vague boundaries. It is slightly lopsided. More symmetrically:

This simply emphasises the location of the Transformation point between R~ and I~, at the risk of giving faint yellowish tinge to [I~]. The yellowish tinge is illogical but has frequently been faintly present in (although excluded from expression of) my vision of +C****, from early times (not to mention +M**** in 'The Gift'***). The significance of this shift is not, perhaps, very great.

What is interesting about the barometric pressure dial* and the Hertzsprung-Russell diagram(s)**, is the way both start and end at (or near) A~ and pass through I~ – whichever Circle (i.e. direction) they pass through. This makes sense, given A~ as the Guide of Beginnings and the Angel of Death (cf. “[0]”); but it is in complementary opposition to Man's inner life which can be seen as beginning and ending with I~ and passing through A~.

But this distinction is more apparent than real:*** Man's Outer Circle is perceived as centred on A~ or I~ according to his viewpoint. For example, a Man fixed on material things will, as his World begins to fragment and his hold on such items slips, tend to see himself losing the bright lights and descending into night and terror; but a Man fixed on the Spirit will tend to see himself in the same position ascending from darkness towards the Light.****

Returning* to colours and temperatures: of course, in this context blue is generally hottest and red coldest: and this full inverted horseshoe does not reflect the sensations associated with the 4 “elements” on page 155**. However, the H[ertzsprung]-R[ussell] diagrams' interpretations in the Circle format only referred to the bottom semi-circle at J~ (as a source), and did not touch U~ and A~.

Although I am reasonably happy with the attribution of the 4 “elements” on the Circles, I have never been very happy with the sensations which seem to follow from them, ***(i.e. cold, dry, hot, wet): they are two confusing. So perhaps they should be dropped.
