B, who I think works with W.H.O.,
is said to have told this story: at a meeting of member countries, the delegate
for Albania rose to his feet and and made a long and somewhat pompous speech in
the course of which he stated that together, the populations of his country and
of the peoples Republic of China comprised more than half the total population
of the world.
And not one
of those delegates dared to laugh.
