I
suppose some would say that all this is nonsense at least so far as
Shakespeare is concerned, since the appearance of infinite variety
within a work of creative art can only be an illusion, since it is
'finite' or at least produced via a 'finite' medium. But the point,
of course, is that within a Universe which is in all aspects
measurable an appearance of infinite variety can itself only be an
illusion.
